Outsourcing Content Creation and Building a Blog Network
As most of my readers know by now I do believe that a blog network can generate more traffic through proper SEO to dominate SERP’s. I have retained the services of a copywriter to help with providing content for the blog network. My initial cost for this will be around $500. For $500 I will receive content targeted to specific geographical regions and a brand name within a 200 mile radius. This content will basically be a presell to contact me, personal branding at it’s highest with outgoing links to our sites inventory search engine and other blogs in and out of my network.
This cost will easily be recouped. It will not be a true blog network as it will not receive frequent updates. I will encourage customers to give testimonials in the comments. The blogs will basically be a CMS platform and updates will probably just be current incentives, promotions and product announcements. I use blogging platforms now for affiliate marketing and Adsense revenue under the same premise as a CMS. This is not rocket science I have been doing it for over a year with affiliate marketing. The main difference is I have not outsourced content generation on these other networks to any great degree.
As this is a personal branding mission I am not asking my employer for support. This work is done on my time and my dime. I will not work on this at the dealership. I am also working on having a multi-user platform designed so it can support more than just my personal branding and allow other ISMs to brand themselves as well.
As mentioned earlier in this post I am targeting City, State and Brand Name which are long-tail keywords. A short-tail keyword would be just Brand Name or City Name. If this is successful it will dominate the SERP’s as it will be on multiple domains and sub-domains for the targeted keywords.
The leads generated in this fashion will be very targeted and consumers ready to buy, not researchers. To be quite frank I don’t want the research traffic. I want to capture the lead, make the sale then build the customers for life. No different than traditional print advertising. The best way to describe the effect is multiple billboards for Paul Rushing and why they should do business with me.
This strategy can be geared for dealership branding. Dealers do advertise in competitive markets all the time I will just be using a medium that most dealers don’t have a clue about. From my observations dealers are paying through the nose for SEO services, PPC campaign management, third party leads and online classifieds because they don’t realize there may be different ways to accomplish the same goals for less cash, which is to get buying customers to contact us.
My goal is not to be part of BDC but to sell cars today. Granted not all leads will convert fast but with proper qualification and work flows I should see sales increase exponentially very fast and still not alienate the researcher if they choose me.
