Follow up, follow up, follow up…….

Some amazing things have transpired over the last few days that have been absolutely amazing. I am sure any dealership near a military installation that has troops deployed overseas receives their fair share of leads from soldiers deployed over seas, I receive them daily. Because I have three nephews that have been rotating in and out of the hot zones and understand the loneliness that being deployed entails I have followed up with these service members fairly regularly via personal emails offering encouragement, friendship and updates on inventory. Basically taking time to give them some contact when time allows. Those kind of activities have huge personal benefits even if you don’t sell a car from it, for me.

Well some of my troops started coming home on the 28th of April and the sales that were generated from this extra effort were huge for a strong close out and jump start on the new month. I even had one Army Captain recommend me to his company of soldiers, unsolicited!! Needless to say my hands are full for the next few weeks as the calls and drive ups looking for the “Internet Guy” is amazing and undeserved.

Maybe others will think twice before discounting these soldiers in their daily activities. Maybe you will make some friends and sell a few cars along the way….
